Initial situation
In a suburb of Düsseldorf, Nuesch Development, in cooperation with an investment company, developed a small precinct with appx. 250 housing units. The 17.500 sqm site is located in Eller and is today zoned as an industrial area.

Concept
By purchasing several neighboring sites it became feasible to implement a valid planning concept. The architecture refers to the neighboring industrial units and responds to the emission situation. The objective is to develop affordable housing.

Realization
After having defined the new functions for the site, an architectural competition was organized in cooperation with the city. The result of the competition will determine the formal rezoning process. The opening is to be expected 2023.
